TARC Tube Cutting Guides

Making straight perpendicular cuts in typical TARC sized tubes is easy with the Rocketry Works Tube Cutting Guides.  This set of 4 guides fits tubes commonly used in TARC: 24mm or 29mm motor tubes, and BT-70 or BT-80 body tubes.  Just slide the 3D printed ring over the outside of the tube, position the wide end of the ring where you want to cut, and lightly tape the thin end of the ring to the tube.  Brace a sharp hobby knife on the body tube against the wide end of the ring and rotate the knife around the tube. It's best to make several light passes around the tube, rather than trying to cut through the tube in one pass. Your cut will be cleaner and straighter that way.  Once you've cut through the tube, remove the tape and the ring, and lightly sand the end of the body tube on a piece of 200 grit sandpaper on a flat surface.
