Rocketry Works' unique and sturdy 3D printed transition includes quick and easy threaded access to an internal altimeter bay.  This transition connects BT-70 to BT-80 tubes, with a shock cord anchor on the small BT-70 shoulder.  The large shoulder glues inside the BT-80 payload bay, leaving a 3/4 inch strip at the aft end of the payload bay with static ports venting the interior avionics bay. A laser cut altimeter sled fits securely inside the transition, with mounting hardware for common TARC and hobby altimeters. The unit also includes a bulkhead to separate the forward end of the transition from the payload bay if needed.

The transition comes in 3 parts: the small end shoulder, the transition, and the large end coupler. To assemble, epoxy the small end shoulder into the small end of the transition. Epoxy the large end shoulder into the aft end of the payload bay. Twist the parts together to attach the sections together. Use the included nylon stand-off bolts to secure your Pnut, APRA, or Stratologger CF altimeters to the altimeter sled. Or, use a Jolly Logic Snap Mount to mount a Jolly Logic altimeter to the sled for non-qualified flights. Unscrew the threaded sections to access the avionics bay, and slide the altimeter sled between the anchor tabs. Secure the sled with the included nut and bolt.
