"Dog Barf" Recovery Wadding

Yes, we call it Dog Barf.  And it's the cheapest way to protect your recovery device from the rocket motor's hot ejection gasses. In truth, it is commercially available cellulose housing insulation, made of shredded paper and treated to be flame resistant.  Like recovery wadding, it will not burn, so it reduces the risk of starting a ground fire that could happen if you used a flammable material like toilet paper, facial tissue, or paper towels.  You are welcome to head to your local hardware store and buy a $12 bale of cellulose insulation, but then you're stuck with more Dog Barf than you'll ever be able to use. So we bundle it up for you in reasonably sized quantities--enough for around 25 flights in a gallon zip lock bag.  One important word of warning...this Dog Barf, like the real thing, is messy.  Only use it if you are able to do flight prep outside.  It'll make a big dusty mess indoors.
