2 piece 8 foot 1010 Launch Rail

This 1010 launch rail combines two 4-foot rails to create a full 8 foot 1010 launch rail for mid and high power rockets that require more guidance.  Since an 8 foot rail is cumbersome to transport, this launch rail comes in two 4 foot pieces, joined with sturdy rail joint that permits 1010 rail buttons to slide smoothly past the joint. To set up the rail, just position the rail segments end to end and slide the rail joint across the gap and tighten with a 5/32 inch allen wrench.  The rail joint secures the rail pieces on 3 sides, leaving 1 side available to guide a rocket with 1010 rail buttons. After the launch, simply loosen the allen bolts on both rail segments, and retract the rail joint onto one of the rails, and snug the bolts again for storage. Always check your model's launch velocity in modeling software to ensure you have sufficient rail speed for a given model weight, motor choice, rail length, and launch conditions.
